Indications
Acts effectively against the liver fluke Fasciola in its various stages and species (F. hepatica and F. gigantica), as well as against Haemonchus worms, which live in the abomasum, Bunostomum worms, which live in the small intestine, and the nasal bot of sheep, Oestrus ovis. Used in cattle and sheep.
Dose and administration
Cattle and sheep: 3 mg per kg body weight, i.e. equivalent to 1 ml/25 kg body weight. After using rafoxanide, the dose must be repeated after 3 weeks to eliminate the adult worms that were still eggs at the time of the first treatment. This is also indicated in Haemonchus and Bunostomum infestations.
